DSC DJ Sound Control: A Seriously Pimped-Out PC

In keeping with the outrag-plagued custom of Fashion Week, the DSC DJ Sound Control, a colorful, cacophonous, intermixture of Disc-jockey and PC applied science, managed to turn the heads of even the forge models at Saks Fifth Avenue in Untried House of York Thursday.

Starting with a Lenovo IdeaCentre A700 complete-in-one touchscreen PC, far-famed PC modder Chris Blarsky added a Numark Mixtrack DJ software comptroller, Midi Fighter controller hardware and assorted other pieces of off-the-ledge and custom-made hardware and developed a sleek, dazzling and ergonomic DJ console that's not only fully operational, but is also luggable.

While many of the buttons, slides, switches and turntables started as store-bought products, many an have been modified and reconnected inside a huge, but strong and relatively light 25-inch-wide shell. As a DJ mixes the tunes, dozens of colorful RGB lights on pliable strips pulsate to the perplex, giving the entire setup the aura of something that might be seen in a future movie interlingual rendition of "The Wizard of Oz."

Blarsky did not travel to New York with his handiwork, but Lenovo representatives were happening hand at the Lenovo Connections Lounge at Saks One-fifth Avenue to explicate how helium cobbled the console together by hand, which cost him hundreds of hours of elbow grung. Lenovo also showed murder part of its stream lineup of notebooks and tablets, including the wasp-waisted Lenovo IdeaPad U300.

Since the Lenovo IdeaCentre A700 is an all-in-one Microcomputer with a 23-column inch touch screen, there's no need for a PC keyboard. Thence the space on the console in straw man of the show canful be ordained to euphony controls, including an nonobligatory music keyboard. Blarsky exploited an A700 with an Intel Core i7 processor and had to move some components some to provide board to wire in other devices.
